Introduction to the Company

Delta Insurance Company was established on 28/09/1980, under the provisions of Law No 26 of 1954, which was replaced by Law No 159 of 1981.

The licensed capital is 10 million Egyptian pounds.
And it is subject to Law No. 10 of the year 1981 concerning supervision and control over insurance in Egypt and its amendments.
The company operates, according to its establishment decision and the license issued to it, in the field of insurance and reinsurance in the branches of property and liability insurance. This is done through its main center located at Hassan Mohamed Al-Razaz Street, Giza city, as well as 17 branches spread across the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The authorized capital is 500 million Egyptian pounds, fully sourced and paid, amounting to 350 million Egyptian pounds, distributed over 87.5 million shares with a nominal value of 4 Egyptian pounds per share.

The development of the issued and paid-up capital:

On 29 September 2016, the approval was granted to increase the company's capital from 90 million Egyptian pounds to 100 million Egyptian pounds, distributed over 25 million shares, with an increment of 10 million Egyptian pounds from the profits of the fiscal year ending on 30 June 2015. The mentioned increase was recorded in the commercial register on 25 October 2017.
On 30 September 2018, the approval was granted to increase the company's capital from 100 million Egyptian pounds to 120 million Egyptian pounds, distributed over 30 million shares, with an increment of 20 million Egyptian pounds from the profits of the fiscal year ending on 30 June 2016. The mentioned increase was recorded in the commercial register on 26 March 2019.
On 29 September 2019, the approval was granted to increase the company's capital from 120 million Egyptian pounds to 126 million Egyptian pounds, distributed over 31.5 million shares, with an increment of 6 million Egyptian pounds from the profits of the fiscal year ending on 30 June 2019. The mentioned increase was recorded in the commercial register on 27 January 2020.
On 29 December 2021, the extraordinary general assembly approved an increase in the company's capital from 126 million Egyptian pounds to 350 million Egyptian pounds, distributed over 87.5 million shares, with an increment of 224 million Egyptian pounds. This increase includes the premium under the capital increase account, amounting to 14 million Egyptian pounds, as per the decision of the ordinary general assembly held on 30 September 2020. The mentioned increase was recorded in the company's commercial register on 1 March 2022.
On 30 January 2023, the extraordinary general assembly approved an increase in the company's licensed capital from 500 million to 800 million Egyptian pounds. It also agreed to increase the issued and paid-up capital from 350 million Egyptian pounds to 400 million Egyptian pounds distributed over 87million and 500 thousand shares, an increase of 50 million pounds. The aforementioned increase was noted in the commercial registry on July 5, 2023.
